A native New Yorker, Mike Buzzeo grew up in the hobby. His dad has always been an airplane guy and so, "There was never a time when we didn't have a basement full of them". Mike got his first control line plane at the age of 5, learned to fly R/C on his dad's single - channel escapement radios, graduated to REEDS systems in the early 60's and eventually learned to fly on Kraft Proportional radios. He flew Junior pattern as a teen with planes built from kits or plans, but mostly flew planes he designed and built himself. He spent 4 years as a jet engine mechanic in the Navy, and 15 years working as a machinist and CAD/CAM designer (6 of those years working as a civillian contractor on the Air Force's C-5 Galaxy). In the late 70's Mike took the inevitable hiatus from the sport to raise a family, but in the late 80's he got back into it and has been heavily involved ever since. Mike currently lives in Minnesota where he is a graphic artist and digital imaging specialist for a marketing / software developement firm and is a community moderator and staff writer for RCU Magazine (Screen Name - "MinnFlyer").

Ken Isaac built his first rubber powered balsa wood plane 35 years ago at the age of 8 while under the watchful eye of his father. During his teen years he spent many days building and flying control line planes with his dad. After starting a family and a successful business he finally got into RC planes in the mid 90's. Having a long time love of building with balsa it was a "no brainer" to start building the planes he was flying. Since that time he has built more RC planes "than he cares to count". In his second year of flying RC he taught his best friend to fly as well and discovered that he really enjoyed helping others get a start in the hobby and has continued to train new students every year since then. Ken lives in Oklahoma where he owns and operates a computer business with his wife. He also continues to help people get into the hobby that he loves so much by spending time in the RCU Beginner's Forum. He is also a Community Moderator as well as a staff writer for RCU (Screen Name - "RCKen").
